Plastic comb binding is used mainly for ‘in house’ office binding. Sometimes, however, the quantities involved are too much for the office machine. This is where APE Image Consultants can help. As with wire binding we have the capacity to handle large volumes of comb bound books.
Comb
binding has similar characteristics to wire binding insofar as the ‘lay
flat’ capability has many advantages. The system does no quite alow for the
complete fold back that wire binding offers and being plastic is not quite as
strong. However, this method of binding is very popular and our turnaround from
loose sheets to bound books is very fast. A big advantage that comb binding has
over wire binding is that pages can be added after the initial binding by
opening up the plastic comb.
